Looking Ahead to Season Three of "True Blood"...
…I really hope that creator and executive producer Alan Ball manages to somehow incorporate the character of Bubba into the HBO series. Here’s how he is described in Charlaine Harris’ books, courtesy of Wikipedia:
Bubba is Elvis Preseley in vampire form. A morgue attendant who was a vampire and a big fan discovered the King slightly alive. The misguided vampire decides to make the overdosed Elvis undead, but the resulting creature, answering only to “Bubba,” is somehow brain damaged by the process.
While Ball has said he hasn’t yet figured out a way to insert him in a way “that would not be cheesy,” I think this character — with a really good casting choice — could really elevate the series to a whole new level of weirdly goodness.
